You’re better than you think
Maybe secret competitions and comparisons would be extinct if all we had was “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”, with Robin Leach.
Its funny because social media has become that 24 hours of everyday. And get this, everybody isn’t rich and famous.
But for those who truly are, it can make us regulars feel soo behind. Even for the ones whose cappin (lying), we feel the success train has passed us by.
I’ve almost fallen into the trap. That is why I take breaks from social media, live life in the real world, and assess my situation realistically.
If comparison is the thief of joy, that b*tch is gonna have to find someone else to rob. I’m not playing that game.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to see people prosper. No matter what I see on my timeline or offline. I know I’m just as capable.
You are too.
We all are.
We are all smarter than we think. Better than we think. More successful than we think.
I own my measuring stick for success. Not by comparing my life to others.
My happiness is determined by me. The level of peace and love I want in my life, is created by me.
It’s all me because I said so.
And you can say the same too.
