You hit the nail on the head with this one. Personally I never got into praising men for doing what they should. Many women in my family do this and it’s so annoying. Maybe because in their generation, men were seen as providers and protectors. Not caretakers and dishwashers. But that was a time when women were at home to do all that stuff.

Times have changed now. It takes multiple incomes to maintain a home. Unfortunately the expectation for men’s roles in the home and marriages didn’t change with it.
