Social media will be the ruin of us all if we continue to listen to these clowns. And while I’m hoping what’s being said on social media doesn’t fully depict the philosophy of the general population, I’m doubtful.

This is why I stay in my son’s ear about life. Mainly sex.

Whew! Here we go…

From rappers to actors, athletes to regulars, anytime news is spread about another child on the way or a posted disgruntled child’s mother rant, the number of men echoing how women control access to sex is astounding.

And while this is true, in no way does it represent the full story.

The problem with men saying women control access to sex

The one thing humans don’t like the most yet could yield the greatest results is accountability. When men say women control access to sex they are denying accountability for and of themselves.

The statement reads as if men are saying they are mindless creatures who have no control over their member, and should take advantage of any opportunity presented for release. Further more releasing them from any potential repercussions because sexual encounters only happen with a woman’s consent.

The flaw is that everyone is aware non consensual sex is illegal. Even if it weren’t law, morally we know forcing ourselves on someone is wrong.

This nonchalant approach of “women control access to sex”, doesn’t hold men accountable in looking deeper into the women they choose to sleep with, as opposed to settling for the luck of the draw.

Men say they don’t get sex as much as women think. And must therefore take advantage of opportunities while they can. However when this mentality is deployed it has the potential to damage everything in it’s path. And men are part responsible.

Poverty, struggling single parent households, and heartbroken women and children from absent men are the result of men leaving sole responsibility of sexual acts at women’s feet.

In the end

Men, have just as much agency over their bodies as women. This is what society doesn’t want young men to know and act on.

I preach to my twenty year old how his body is just as valuable as a woman’s. And to treat it as such. We all only get one body in this life, honor it.

When men lack self control and sexual discipline, chaos ensues. Everyone controls access to sex. It’s past time we all grow up and act like it.

Future generations are depending on it.
