To the food critic who tossed food out the window in my city

I’ve got a proposition for you

Social media has become a joke to me. Maybe it’s the real ones online exposing the fake. Or the fake exposing themselves over time. From the podcasters who claim to be looking for “wifey” five years in, to the ones talking about astral planes and numerology for hours, I’ve had it with creators who just want a platform. Because it shows.

A food critic I’ve never seen or heard of before popped up on my feed. The name of my city was in the title of a few of his YouTube posts, so I clicked.

Let me tell you…..

First things first, I’m surprised you were minutes from me. Didn’t think you’d receive so many suggestions from that area. There’s a few good places. Most of them you could’ve skipped.

That leads me to the second thing. If there’s a food item you don’t like, don’t throw it out the window. Even for entertainment purposes.

See, you only visited my town for a couple days. Myself and others live here sir.

A homeless encampment, wanderers hanging on the sidewalk, begging for loose change at the light, and scouring through trash cans is part of the scenery on my way to work.
