This Is Why We Should Still Leave Voicemails
Every now and then the universe sends people to you that turn out to be a ray of light in the sporadic darkness of this world.
You don’t expect or anticipate their entry. But once they're in, you’re glad you know them.
On a cold snowy winter morning, on my way to work, just as I was entering the ramp to get on the highway, my wheels turned and I slid off the road to the side. An hour prior while strolling FaceBook, my timeline was filled with co workers who opted to stay home due to the weather. At this point I thought, “Why wasn't I one of them?”
Stuck I tried to get myself out to no avail. Wheels just spinning with my car going nowhere. Looking to my right a tow truck pulled up, then backed up. Without saying a word the driver got out, hooked my car to his truck and pulled me out.
I thanked him immensely. He handed me his card and we arranged to meet up later for compensation.
And that was how we met. We’d been cool ever since, and that was five years ago.
Come to find out we didn’t live far from each other. Both family people, when we spoke on occasion we’d talk about family, work, and life.
Mainly he was the plug. Anytime my car broke down or had household appliance issues, he was my go to. A great means of…
