The only solution to toxic podcasts is this…..
I remember when no one took podcasting seriously due to the lack of monetization. Why would anyone want to spend money on microphones, lights, cameras, lining up guests and commit to a posting schedule, with no clear path to an income stream?
This was the late 2000’s and ever since the money problem has been solved. Presently, podcasts can earn thousands to millions of dollars while seemingly holding the tightest grip on the minds of anyone willing to consume them.
The result?
Misinformation, hate, pain, chaos and division. Particularly in the dating/relationship space. Unfortunately, toxic content didn’t dissipate with the passing of Kevin Samuels (God rest his soul). Instead, his minions have doubled down from dressing similar to repurposing and redistributing his content via bite sized clips. Further spreading destructive messages to old and new followers alike.
The success of these messages have led others to follow suit. Not because they believe or live out the messages they speak on. But for the potential of going viral and monetary benefits they could reap.
We’re officially in a time where the most destructive, toxic voices are the loudest. Where the stupidest, emptiest content is massively popular, content creators who speak with positivity, truth, and…
