One Thought That’s F*ckin Us Up
There’s a fine line between gratitude and wanting more.
We hear saying like, count your blessings and give thanks. Which is great from the minute perspective of our lives. We all have something to be thankful for.
Still being grateful for the small, shouldn’t discourage us from wanting bigger and better for ourselves.
And we could get there but there’s a quick little thought f*ckin us up:
At least I have ______(insert whatever here).
I’ve heard it countless times over the years.
At least I have a job.
At least I have a car.
At least I have a relationship.
At least
At least
At least….
The question is are those things you actually want? Are they of the quality you want?
Is your car the car you want and feel you deserve? Or is it a settlement for point a to b?
Are you really happy in your relationship? Or is it something to do until someone better comes along?
If we are honest with ourselves, deep down we want better than what we have. It doesn’t make us ungrateful for what we do. Its natural to want newer, better, and bigger. As human…
