I wouldn’t assume because the season is four months long it leaves eight months home with the family. Professional athletes have contractual obligations through endorsements and the team throughout the offseason along with offseason training that doesn’t always take place where they live.

Whatever the reason we will never know. As a woman I could very well see her looking forward to having her husband at home more while he has his health.
